Toni looked simply breathtaking in our Odette design, read on to hear more about her and Kye's beautiful wedding on June 8th, 2022! Beautiful photos by Cavanagh Photography.
Toni and Kye celebrated their wedding day after a little more than 3 wonderful years together, in an intimate ceremony with just their nearest and dearest at the scenic Goosewing Cottage, in the gorgeous Hunter Valley NSW, Australia.
Tell us how Kye proposed - We love a good ring story!
It was a spur of the moment thing, it had been a beautiful day and I knew the sunset would be beautiful, so we took a drive to Lincoln’s Rock (in Wentworth Falls, NSW Australia) took some photos of the sunset and then Kye got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
When did you know Kye was the ONE?
It’s actually pretty gross, but I had been really sick vomited on the floor, and basically just hot boxed him in the room. That same day, he asked me to be his girlfriend!
When you first started wedding planning, what where 3 of the most important things to you both about your wedding day?
We wanted a small wedding, and we had to have our best friends there.
We wanted also wanted it to be stress free and low key.
We sort of eloped, we had a small wedding of only 15 guests. It was perfect.
What vendors did you use for your wedding?
Venue: Goosewing Cottage
HMUA: Gloss Girl Bridal Story
Photographer: Cavanagh Photography
Videographer: Hunter Valley Video
Florist: Mayflowers Vintage Florist
Celebrant: Hitched in the Hunter - Melanie Fell Agnew
How did you pick your venue?
Friends of ours had eloped and got us thinking we wanted to do the same but with our family and friends involved. After about a month of research, we found Goosewing Cottage.
What vendors did you spend the most time researching and trying to decide on?
None! They were all included in our package with Goosewing!
What is a unique way you personalised your special day?
We all wore sneakers! My husband and I both wore blue Vans, we also used bubbles instead of throwing confetti which made for some beautiful photos.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning a wedding on a lower budget?
Don’t be scared to cut out things that you may think you need. We didn’t have a reception that night and we just went out to dinner with our 15 guests, which was so much better.
When you look back on your day, what is your most favourite memory?
My favourite memory of course was when we were announced as husband and wife (that’s a given) but there was also my bridesmaid and maid of honour cutting their dress with nail scissors because it was too long, as well as making a makeshift bra out of face masks!
